Hi Classmates,
Last evening when I tuned in to RTHK Radio 4, I was very surprised to findthat our classmate Jimmy Chan Foong Sheung [陳晃相] and hisfiancee Rao Lan [饒嵐] were being interviewed by Nancy Loo, a well known and active pianist inthe local classical music arena. We know how his fiancee looks and singsas we went to her concert last year, a very talented soprano indeed. Jimmy's story is one that very well describes what we Chinese used to say'After all the long lasting bitterness, sweetness finally comes!'[苦盡甘來]
Actually, they are marrying today! All the best to the newlyweds! At the end of the interview, they sang a duet for soprano and bass they adaptedfrom a love song for solo soprano composed by Albert Schumann. It's beautiful!
